Gail Corvette
Teaching yoga and Nia in Charleston has been Gail's dream for many years and she is thrilled to realize her dream with the Spirit Moves family. She moved to Charleston (her husband David's hometown)in the Fall of 2008 from Hong Kong where she was working for a consulting firm and teaching yoga. She practices and teaches Anusara yoga (a-nu-sar-a) yoga, one of the most popular and fastest-growing styles of yoga, due in large part to its uplifting philosophy, epitomized by a "celebration of the heart," which looks for the good in all people and all things. Consequently, students of all levels of ability and yoga experience can enjoy the practice. For more information, visit Anusara.com
Gail has completed more than 300 hours of teacher training. She holds the Anusara-inspired teacher designation and is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Instructor.
Gail has been dancing through life, first with 13 years of classical ballet training then with Nia since 1996. She earned her Nia White Belt in New York in 2005 with Caroline Kohles and Winalee Zeeb (Bill's teacher).

Kristi Barnes
Kristi Barnes began her yogic studies in high school when her mother took her to a class in a neighboring town. Having spent the previous ten years studying dance, she then spent the next twelve immersed in art, dance, yoga, and movement therapy.
After becoming a momma herself, and inspired by the gift her own mother had given her, she completed her children's Yoga teacher training with Shakta Kaur Khalsa at Kripalu Yoga Center in Lenox, Massachusetts.
Her passion for the study of mind-body modalities reignited, Kristi completed the Holy Cow teacher training program and the Nia White Belt over the next two years. Amazed by the transformative powers of her own experience, she is honored to share the journey with such an amazing community.
